INNOVATION

ICIP 2011 promises several innovations to the participants.

  • A “Reproducible code available” label will be introduced in the ICIP 2011 Proceedings where authors will make their code available (Matlab, Java, Octave or online application) along with their papers.
A best code prize will be awarded.
Selection process for best code:
  1. An email will be sent to all authors whose papers have been accepted for ICIP 2011.
  2. Each author will be asked if they wish to apply to the “Best Reproducible Code Award” by later submitting their code to the IC and agreeing to the specific terms of this award. This code should be written in Matlab, Octave, C/C++, Java, or through an online application.
  3. From the list of those who applied for this award, 10 authors will be selected by the Innovative Chairs and the TPC according to the quality and the clarity of the accepted paper content. These authors will then be asked to make their code available to the innovation chairs, and the successful applicant will be designated amongst them.
Additional details on this procedure will be available by the end of April 2011.
  • A job forum dedicated to post-doctoral students in image processing will be organized at ICIP 2011.

Other proposals for innovation are welcome and can be sent to the Innovation Chairs at

More information will be made available in due course.
